About Our Pack

Cub Scout Pack 620 is comprised of multiple small dens, with up to around 10 scouts each, by grade level. The entire pack meets together once a month on Pack night and sometimes for additional pack events that are scheduled.

Pack Night

Meetings are usually scheduled on the fourth Tuesday evening of each month from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The entire family is welcome to attend the pack night meeting and support the Cub Scouts in their advancement. The pack night meeting program usually includes an opening and closing ceremony, recognition of scouts who have earned awards, and Pack announcements. The pack night is led by the Cubmaster with the help of the Assistant Cubmaster and the Den Leaders.

Den Meetings

Meetings are generally held at least once per month. Parents are asked to attend with scouts. Den meetings are planned and run by the den leader with the help of the assistant den leader(s).

Registration fees and Pack dues

Anyone new to Scouts pays a $25 registration fee to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) when they sign up. There is also a BSA 12-month membership fee. For 2024, the BSA membership fee is $80. The renewal month is the anniversary date of joining.

Pack 620 dues are based on a 12-month membership and are charged beginning in January of each year. The dues for 2024 are $65. If you register your Scout in a month other than January, the Pack dues will be prorated.

When you go to register your Scout through the BSA website, there is also the option of purchasing a yearly subscription to Scouts Life Magazine for $15.

Fundraising

Popcorn is our largest fundraiser which helps offset the cost of BSA and Pack dues and other scouting activities.

  • Every Scout will be asked to participate in selling popcorn as part of the Popcorn fundraiser which goes from September to November. Scouts are asked to sell $200 worth of popcorn. Sell as part of our pack at storefronts or you can take popcorn home to sell on your own to coworkers, friends and/or neighbors.
  • There will also be an additional smaller fundraising event planned in the spring to help raise funds for the pack.
Parent Support

Parents are asked to volunteer in some way to help the pack. There are many small roles that make a BIG difference. More information is available on the Resources page.
